Nuvinty

Corrections & right of reply

Nuvinty publishes factual statements about named companies, including the quarterly Nuvinty Index. If we have got something wrong, out of date or unfair, we want to fix it — and we would rather hear it from you than leave it standing. This page explains how to ask, what we need, how long we take, and how we log what we change.

Who to contact

The Nuvinty editorial team, Edge Digital Solutions LTD

Nuvinty is operated by Edge Digital Solutions LTD.

What we can review

  • A Nuvinty Index entry: its date, scale, market, caveat or label, or how we describe the initiative.
  • A factual statement about a brand anywhere on the site.
  • Commission disclosure, product listings, prices or descriptions sourced from a retailer feed.
  • Anything else on the site you believe is inaccurate or misleading.

What evidence we need

Index entries are chosen and described against the published criteria (last updated 2026-10-06), so a review moves fastest when you send:

  • A primary source. A link to the company’s own announcement, report, policy or certification record — not a summary of it. We cite primary sources, so we need to be able to link to one.
  • What is wrong. The entry or statement, and which detail: the date, the scale, the market it applies to, a missing caveat, or the label.
  • A date. When your source was published, and what period it covers.
  • Scope. Whether it applies to the brand itself or only to its parent group — we describe those differently.

We can only publish what is publicly verifiable. If you send us something under embargo or in confidence, we will not publish based on it — but tell us when it goes public and we will review it then. A move you think belongs in the next edition is welcome as a suggestion, but it is not a correction: selection is editorial, and no company can pay to be included.

How long we take

1
You send it

Email [email protected] with the page or brand, what you say is wrong, and the evidence. Put “Correction” in the subject line.

2
We acknowledge — 2 working days

You get a written acknowledgement confirming we have it and who is handling it.

3
We assess — 10 working days

We check your evidence against our sources and, for an Index entry, against the published selection criteria, and reply with the outcome and our reasoning.

4
We publish

If we got something wrong we change it and log the correction on this page with the date. If we disagree, we say why in writing and offer to publish your response alongside the entry or statement.

Nuvinty is a small team, so 10 working days is the response time we can actually hold to. If a review needs longer — for example when we are waiting on a certification body — we will tell you before the 10 days are up and give you a date.

Right of reply

If we assess your evidence and still reach a different conclusion, you can ask us to publish your response. We will carry a statement of up to 150 words from you alongside the relevant Index entry or page, attributed to you and dated. We will not edit it other than for length, and we will link to your own published material if you would rather we pointed to that.

How corrections are logged

Every correction to a published Index entry or factual statement is listed below with the date and what changed — whether it came from a brand, a reader or from us. We do not quietly edit and move on. Index editions are dated and archived, and we only change one after publication to correct an error.

The Nuvinty Index: 0–5 assessments withdrawn

We withdrew the Nuvinty Index’s 0–5 assessments of brands’ published sustainability evidence, along with the per-brand assessment pages and monthly snapshots, which now redirect to the Index. The Index is now a quarterly editorial selection of ten notable sustainability moves, each described from the company’s own announcement with its caveats. This was a change of approach, not a finding that any individual assessment was wrong.

    The Nuvinty Index methodology page

We corrected our own description of how Index scores are produced. The page had said scores were “computed from a fixed, published rubric — not editorial judgement” and that unevidenced criteria were “scored as not met rather than assumed”. Neither was accurate for the data on display: v1 pillar values were derived from our editorial score rather than the other way round. v1 ratings are now labelled as Nuvinty’s assessment throughout, and v2 introduces per-pillar levels with cited sources. Several brand descriptions were also reworded from judgemental phrasing to neutral, checkable statements about what each brand publishes.
