Price Check
The game
Two real listings from the Nuvinty index. One question: which one is asking more? Keep the streak going for as long as you can. Every pairing is drawn live from pre-owned pieces listed right now, across 151 tracked models, so the game is never the same twice, and never out of date.
Why nobody gets these all right
Most people price luxury by how expensive it looks. The market prices it by house, model, material and condition. A quilted lambskin flap from one house holds several times the value of a visually similar bag from another; a small leather accessory can outprice a coat. That gap is exactly why a piece is worth checking before money changes hands, in either direction.
If you want the real number for a specific piece rather than a guess, the free resale value checker gives a low, typical and high range from live listings of the same model, and the Resale Value Index shows which models hold their value best over time.
Questions
Where do the prices in the game come from?
Every round is drawn live from the pre-owned listings Nuvinty indexes — the same listings you can browse on the site. They are current asking prices on real listings, not sold prices, and the pool refreshes as the marketplace does.
How many rounds are there?
There is no fixed set. Rounds are generated on the fly from more than 100,000 live pre-loved listings across 150 tracked models, so you will rarely see the same pairing twice.
Why is the cheaper-looking piece sometimes more expensive?
Resale value is driven by house, model, material, hardware, age and condition far more than by how flashy a piece looks. A small Hermès accessory can outprice a large designer coat. That gap is the whole game — and it is why checking a price before you buy or sell matters.
How do I find what a specific piece is worth?
Use the free value checker, which gives a low, typical and high resale range for a given house and model from live listings, adjusted for condition.
