The Fendi Peekaboo is a structured top-handle bag designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, shown on the runway in 2008 and in stores from 2009. A stiff central divider splits it into two compartments, each closed with a twist lock, and when the bag is unlocked and left open the contrasting lining peeks out. That is where the name comes from. With almost no exterior logo, it is the opposite of a logo bag and has become one of Fendi's signature designs.

Why the Peekaboo is iconic
It arrived as a deliberate answer to the logomania of the early 2000s: a near-logoless bag whose luxury shows in its leather, lining and construction rather than in branding. Its trapezoid shape and twist locks are now core Fendi design codes, and the house has reworked the design every season since, from exotic skins to hand-stitched Selleria editions.

Sizes & variants
The original or 'Iconic' Peekaboo has a stiff divider, two twist locks and a top opening, and has been offered in sizes from a tiny Nano through Mini, Medium and Large. The Peekaboo X-Lite (from 2018) is lighter and drops the inner frame for a single twist lock. The Peekaboo ISeeU opens wider at the front and comes in Petite, Small, Medium and East-West sizes. The Peekaboo Soft followed for Fall-Winter 2024/25. Look out for Selleria editions in Fendi's Cuoio Romano leather with hand-sewn topstitching, as well as nappa, interlace, woven and exotic-skin versions.

The ISeeU has a wider front opening for easier access, and many ISeeU versions add a removable inner pocket. What is a Selleria Peekaboo?
